It hasn’t been the best tour for metalcore bands The Acacia Strain and Sylar as both have been the victims of crime within days of each other.
Mississippi outfit The Acacia Strain had their van smashed up by a drunk driver and were unable to make the shows in Montreal and Toronto due to the van needing to be repaired.
Frontman Vincent Bennett stated: “Van axle is fucked. We cannot safely drive right now. Might not make Canada.”
The rest of the acts did make it to Canada and New York band Sylar were rewarded for this by having their van broken into and every penny they had was taken. The band said: “We’re now back to square one financially and in a different country.” But they vow: “We will continue this tour no matter what.”
Sylar are asking fans to buy merchandise so that they can continue the rest of the tour, which runs until December 21st and includes Emmure, Stray From The Path, Fit For A King and Kublai Khan.
